Helix Nebula - Imperialism Veiled

In many contemporary conflicts, religion is often used as a veil to justify persecution, concealing the political and personal interests behind brutality. In this necklace, I imagined a fictional space where the eyes of different deities and religious symbols coexist within the same sphere. From left to right, eye icons from Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Daoism are consecutively presented. From these eyes, creeds of non-violence hang down like tears, intersecting and merging into a collective stream that flows toward the fastening segment of the necklace—the Helix Nebula, a celestial formation often called the Eye of God, ambiguous in its identity.
This convergence serves as a reminder of our shared humanity as minute beings in the universe, and an irony against the manipulation of divine narratives to serve egocentric agendas of ethnicity, power, or sovereignty.
