BIOGRAPHY

Hi, I'm Aina!

In the past eight years, beadwork has felt like the materialization of my consciousness.
To bead is to make the elusive tangible, to record beauty in the subtle and the absurd, to speak in a secret language of my own.
As a child, I beaded beside my crocheting grandmother, and beadwork was like a private murmur.

Nowadays, I use beadwork to both record my daily life and make social commentaries, in the hope that this language can be understood by more people, leading to echoes.

Thank you for stopping by and listening to my language.
